We support the future generation of chemists

Aneta Kárná

PR & CSR Manager

On Monday, September 2, 2024, we attended the grand opening of the Natural Science Gymnasium on Pionýrská in Brno, which specializes in chemistry. It was a significant event that symbolizes the beginning of a new chapter in our collaboration. We proudly support this gymnasium, and in two years, our employees will participate in teaching to share their expertise and experience with the students.

This year, the first three classes for 90 students are starting, with plans to gradually expand the capacity to 20 classes for a total of 700 students. This step responds to the growing demand for gymnasiums due to demographic developments. The total cost of the project, funded by the region, will reach 300 million CZK. The establishment of the gymnasium was a collaborative effort with Brno universities and is part of the Secondary Industrial School of Chemistry and Gymnasium Vranovská.

The new gymnasium has 16 core classrooms and 14 shared classrooms, including laboratories and specialized rooms for chemistry, biology, and physics. Teachers have 24 offices. The gymnasium, fitness center, and mirror hall have been renovated, and a new outdoor multifunctional playground, parking lot, and garden landscaping have been built. The construction, which began in December two years ago and was completed this August, is prepared for the future installation of a photovoltaic power plant and charging stations for electric vehicles.

According to Vilém Koutník, the director of the Secondary Industrial School of Chemistry and Gymnasium Vranovská, who put his heart into the entire reconstruction, the total number of gymnasium staff will be about 80.
We are excited to be part of this educational program and look forward to the collaboration.
